Happy Halloween 2009!

Rainbows!
Halloween rainbows - 10 minutes before we were getting ready to walk out to trick or treat, it POURED big time. Then it stopped all of a sudden and left behind these amazing double rainbows!

Carving the pumpkin
Monkey & the mummy
Mommy and her Monkey
Trying to get Colin to wear the hood - Not happening
SO Mad at us for making him wear the costume- notice Caden in the background all ready to go?
Mike Rigged up the wagon with the umbrella to cover the boys since it was POURING out just minutes before we left, then it stopped and made a wonderful double rainbow! - so out came the umbrella - but it was a good thought.
Mike dress up yearly too

Here you see can at least see what should have been up on Col's head - and Mike holding the pumpkin, Colin NEVER did. he just went up and took the candy, then gave it to me to put in. he was so funny!

Courtney and her friends - you know they are growing up when they are too good to trick or treat with little brothers!

See those rosy cheeks? Yep, it was COLD and WINDY!
Courtney made it home
Col's candy collection - there was a bunch more, but it didn't fit in the pumpkin, they were just throwing it right in the wagon in the end!

The only thing I am really bummed about is not getting a picture of all 3 kids dressed up together, but I guess I can't expect everything can I?!

The Many Costumes of 2009

Halloween this year was actually fun! Caden was excited to wear his monkey costume, and although we had to fight with Colin to get his on, and he wouldn't put the hood up, still enjoyed going from house to house collecting candy! Courtney got to dress up a few times this year. For school yesterday she was a witch, for the Halloween dance last night she was Raggedy Ann and for trick or treating she was a mummy, which was a good choice, since it is FREEZING outside! Brr....!! It's so windy too top it off! Yuck. We made the best of it and had a good time. Caden was actually the one to decided to come home first! We lasted just over an hour, which is pretty considering Colin wanted to walk the entire time!

The Chicken Minus the head piece :-(
The Monkey
Raggedy Ann
Caden even let Stacy give him a "tattoo scar!" He has come a LONG way!!

Klee Kids!

Since were not going to see Dave & Stacy on Halloween night, I asked Stacy to make sure she sends me pictures of the kids with their costumes on! So here they are - Christopher is a Policeman (how cute is he?! :-), David is a Zombie Punk Skater & Kayla is a Cheerleader . Too Cute!
I just love these kids! (And we like their mom and dad too! LOL)

The things we need to do in this house in order to be able to sleep through the night. At 2:10am (yes, AM) Colin woke up telling us he was hungry. He got out of bed, walked to the kitchen opened the pantry ~ Which mind you HE has broken the lock off of not once, but twice~ got the box of cereal out and we were able to get him back to sleep by letting him eat it in his bed. Mike closed the box around 3am, only for Colin to wake BACK up at 4am screaming because he needed to eat AGAIN, so I had to get back up and open the box. *sigh* I was going to do anything to be able to sleep for more then an hour at that point. he then slept until 6:15. Cereal does the trick.

Parrot Child

The best and worst part of having Colin talk like the average child is the repeating. He repeats everything he hears! I LOVE hearing this - however you forget after having a mostly non verbal child, that it's supposed to be this way! I just recently posted how Caden is now saying "I LOVE YOU MOM" ~ Col now repeats it every time Caden does! So not only do I have one little boy telling me they love me, I've got two! Thank you Caden for teaching Colin the most wonderful words ever. The down side - I mentioned Colin repeats EVERYTHING right? Yea, He called Courtney a jerk yesterday :-) And he's said some other things we wont' mention as well.... yep, always a downside right?? It just blows my mind all the things that he can say. It amazes me! Caden is begining to talk more and more as well and has quite the little vocabulary ~ It's so wonderful! (and for those who say I'll get tired of it eventually, I am sure I will, but after 4 years of wanting Caden to be able to talk, each new word or word/sign combintation is the most amazing thing ever to us! I'll never tire of that!)

UB Spirit Competition!

w

r

Today was Courtney's 2nd Competition. Last week at Clarence High School they placed 4th in the division against 8 other teams. Today, another 8 teams (really good ones at that) And they placed 2nd!! Wahoo! I am so proud and Happy for each of those girls on her team! They have worked super super hard this season. Practicing 2 days per week over 2 hours each time, in addition to games and 1.5 hours of practice BEFORE game time! ~ ( That's 3 practices, 1 game and 1 competition per week for the last 2 weeks at least! 4 days!! )We still have one more competition left on November 8th, Let's shoot for 1st place that time! (but even if they don't place, they still are doing amazing!)

** Sorry the pictures are so far away - We were sitting up in the 300 section, but didn't want to move because we had such a great view. It was neat to actually get an aerial view of them, since I've always seen it done only at eye level. It's so much better from above!**

Pumpkin Time

This year we have really been super busy with Cheerleading games on Saturday then Competition most of the day on Sunday, leaving us no time to get out to the farm like we usually do for our pumpkins. We had to settle for a lot at the corner of our street ~ However they did have some nice reasonably priced pumpkins. As you can tell, Caden was NOT happy, no matter how hard I tried to get him to smile It wasn't gonna happen. He was Cold, yet refused to wear his coat... nice Huh?? So here's our "pretend" pumpkin picking trip of 2009! Hopefully next year we'll be able to find the time to get to the farm. We never made it out for apple picking this year either! Bummer.

Halloween Preview

Courtney thinks I need to dress up as a Mummy for Halloween this year... what do you think? I think NOT. This costume may have fit me 2 years and 60 pounds ago, but not now! Ha!

Missing Kid?

If your missing a Colin and Can't find him ANYWHERE????

Look in the car with the bag of Cough drops :-) Yep, about 10 minutes later we found him.

Happy 6th Wedding Anniversary

Tomorrow will be our 6 year Anniversary. We are going out to celebrate tonight with friends to a simple dinner and then to the Haunted Catacombs. I LOVE that we got married at this time of year. It's so pretty. Perfect cool weather. I remember it POURED on our wedding day. (things don't change 6 years later either, it's been raining for 3 days!) The ceiling leaked in our reception hall. All over me and a few tables. Mike and I sat about 5 feet apart with a bucket between us! :-) I wouldn't change the day for anything, it was perfect, 10 months of planning later and I didn't regret any decisions. I do wish Jen was still with us to celebrate this day, but I know she is watching from above smiling down on us. To celebrate - A couple pictures:

To be this skinny again! One can dream....
At the end of the night. Off to Puerto Rico and the Southern Caribbean - still one of our BEST Vacations yet!
