Powder Keg Ice {Winter} Fest 2010

This morning Meema came over to watch the boys so Mike, Courtney and I could head downtown to winter fest. they had an ice maze and Sledding off the skyway off ramp. The sledding was fun, but would have been even more fun if they let us sled from the top of the skyway down. It was only 300 feet and not very steep, so we had to keep running and jumping on. But it was fun anyway. We went to the Pearl Street bar and grill for breakfast and it was decent too. We were supposed to go to the pancake breakfast, but the wait was over 30 minutes long, so we went down to their cafe and had breakfast sandwiches, much better and alot cheaper too. Breakfast ended up filling up enough calories for both breakfast and lunch! LOL After breakfast we got in the long line to sled, then went over to the ice maze. It was a maze alright. Actually in the center of it, was an ice sculpture of a Buffalo, however, we never made it to center?? I have no idea how we managed that one, but we did. The weather was perfect for winter fest, it was about 31 and snowing like crazy. We got about 6-8 inches over the past 24 hours, and it never stopped snowing this morning, so it was a nice ambiance! :-) It was nice to get out with just Courtney too, that doesn't happen very often.

Caden gets mail

Caden is obsessed as we all know, with vacuums, snowblowers and lawn mowers. My dad went out and got him a ton of catalogs with them in it, and mailed it to him. Caden was thrilled! BUT then we have to cut every single picture out and put it in his photo ablum. It's a long time consuming process, but if makes him happy. Have I mentioned that he now knows how to navigate you tube?? Yep, he watches lawn mower videos.....

Meet Bambi

And here are the best pictures that I could get of Bambi. She for sure was either not around people or abused by them. She will come out and play with blackberry, but as soon as she See's a person, she is GONE, for hours. Poor Kitty, I hope she'll get over that, we'd love to get to meet her!

Colin never sleeps alone

I wonder if he knows this?? Stacy took these pictures of Colin during nap times at her house. There is always an animal sleeping with him. They love him so much. Here we have Coco the dog and Tinkerbell the cat. Too cute. When we go to bed at home at night, he usually asks for baby kitty - meaning blackberry, who lays with him until he is asleep. I am SO glad our children get to grow up with such gentle unconditional love from animals. Oh yea, did I mention we have another kitten at home?? Bambi is 8 weeks old and we got her so blackberry would have a friend the same age. She is very very sacred and came from not the best of environments, so I don't have a picture of her yet. I am sure she was neglected most of the time and not around people very much. She is tiger stripped and so pretty. She is very tiny, smaller then blackberry. I am hoping with in a couple days she'll get used to all of us and come out and join the fun! So we now have our original Oreo & Momma, the overproctecive dad's and the babies, Blackberry and Bambi, the 8 week old sisters!

What do you do at work on a Friday???

We play with Chinese candy dishes and buses! This here little man is our candy bowl. He sits on Sherry's desk and he has a very long feather sticking out of his head. I LOVE this feather. Every time I go to Sherry's office I rub this feather, it's very calming for me :-) - So today, we needed candy. BTW - when you open the head to get the candy out, you get the little man telling you ~ "one candy better then two, if your pants getting too tight on you" and other silly phrases. It cracks us up. So for our 3:00 chocolate rush today, sherry put little man on a bus tied a couple of strings together and walked him to our cubes! Gotta love Friday's at the end of the day and whole bunch of girls with a sense of humor. THIS is the reason why I work where and I do and STAY!

Caught with my hand in the candy jar!

Our little friend! Like his feather??

Delivery time!! This sherry pulling him to the cubes.
I should add too, that these are not the best pictures ever, they were all taken with our cell phones, we obviously need to start leaving a camera at work!

Addiction? What do YOU think?

Welcome to a day in our home! We recently acquired my dad's old vacuum, the one Caden is holding, So now we have NOT only Colin vacuuming 16 hours a day, we have Caden as well. One is plugged in the living room and one in the dining room. When they (the vacuums) get too hot and tired, they go to "sleep" in each respective boys bedroom and go "night, night" which means, lights must be off, not on, and we have to use our quiet voices.

The brothers and their best friends!
